OUR PURPOSE

Removing Barriers. Restoring Dignity. Keeping Children in School.

At Thamani Children's Foundation Uganda, we work to remove the barriers that prevent vulnerable children from accessing and succeeding in education. Hunger, poverty, poor health, inadequate sanitation, and lack of essential school materials continue to keep many children from reaching their full potential.

Through feeding programs, education support, WASH initiatives, child protection, and community-rooted partnerships, we help children stay healthy, confident, and ready to learn.

We believe that every child deserves more than a seat in a classroom. Every child deserves the opportunity to learn with dignity, grow with hope, and build a brighter future.

Our Vision

A Uganda where every child can learn with dignity, grow in safety, and thrive with equal opportunities.

OUR ROOTS

Rooted in Wakiso. Built for Uganda's Children.

Thamani Children's Foundation Uganda was created from the realities we see every day - children walking long distances to school, learning on empty stomachs, lacking basic school material, and struggling with poor hygiene and poverty.

As a locally led foundation, our work begins with listening. Rooted in communities we serve, we respond to children's real daily needs with practical respectful support that helps them stay in school and move forward with dignity.

Accountable Giving

We support children and families with respect compassion, and care - never through pity. Every child deserves help that protects their dignity while opening the door to education.

We are committed to transparency, responsible use of donations, and honest communication with every supporter. Every gift should create real impact for vulnerable children.

Our programs are designed and executed entirely by Ugandan educators and community advocates who live where they serve.

WHY IT MATTERS

Small support can create lasting change.

A simple meal can help a child concentrate in class.

A uniform can help a child walk into school with confidence.

A book and pencil can help a child participate instead of just watching others learn.

A hygiene kit can help a child stay healthy, clean, and present.

What may seem small can change how a child feels, learns, and dreams about tomorrow.

We welcome partners, Rotary clubs, Lion clubs, faith communities, schools, companies and individual supporters to walk with us in restoring dignity and opportunity for children in Uganda.
